You usually burn your intake of calories and then fat. However, if you don’t exercise you will start burning muscle from the parts that aren’t being used instead of burning fat,

I find if i work out in the evening, I can’t sleep as well. I feel better all day if I work out in the morning. But I’m wondering whether one or the other is better for burning calories.

Does your body burn the normal calorie amount consumed everyday?
I hear that you have to burn more calories than you consume but I also hear that if you eat 1500 calories a day, everyday, then your body burns 1500 calories a day because thats what it needs to do. Is this correct? Does your body burn the amount of calories that you normally consume? If so, if you eat 1200-1500 calories a day, will it burn those calories naturally? Then any other activity you do to burn more calories will count towards weight loss and not burning the food that you’ve eaten?
